Welcome to The Lafford High School

9 July
2009
Billinghay is a typical Lincolnshire village of about a 2,000 population, situated
some sixteen miles south east of Lincoln City, ten miles north east of Sleaford and
thirty miles south west of Skegness. There is a range of attractive and low cost
housing in surrounding villages and a new development being planned in the village
itself.
The Lafford High School was opened in 1963 and will close in 2010 it is in
a good state of repair and is well equipped. The school was visited by an Ofsted
team of inspectors in September 2006 and the report was very positive and encouraging.
There are 40+ students on roll.
We are a co-educational school offering high quality education to children in the villages in this part of Lincolnshire. We attract pupils from a wide area ranging from Ruskington to Tattershall and from Heckington to Metheringham.
Our small roll enables us to consider each pupil as an individual and to support them during their time with us.
The school buildings have benefited from a planned programme of re-decoration and refurbishment. Facilities are excellent with good use made of all specialist equipment by all pupils.
Teaching staff are committed and well-qualified. i
Acting Headteacher: Mrs N. Irvine B.A. (Hons.) P.G.C.E.
